My wife on on a recent CX flight in business and her comments were not exactly complementary. The inflight service was, at best, par and below other major competitors. On staff, her observation was they were overworked, understaffed and unable to attend to the particular needs of business passengers. She felt having paid substantially more than economy or premium the quality would be better but apparently not😢

Do you know how IFE controls work when sitting in bulkhead seats? The screen is too far away for touch controls. I've read that the seats are so thin, you feel everything put into the seat pocket from the person behind you, is this true?

I flew NYC to BKK on Singapore Airlines Premium Economy (via Singapore) on March 6th, 2024. Very disappointing. It is basically an economy experience with better seats. The food was nothing exceptional (economy style food), no water in the sink bathrooms at the back of the plane to wash your hands, my TV display stopped working 4 hours into the 19 hour flight, I paid extra for a exit seat, but the seat was cramped and no storage room. Nobody could access the internet because of a server error, eventually I got access through a free voucher the head flight attendant gave me. The onboard staff were fine, but more focused on getting everyone asleep so they would have nothing to do. I have traveled Premium on United, Delta and Emirates, Singapore was such a let down. Their product is NOT recommended, overpriced and nothing special.

We always fly SFO-TPE-HKG and while CX/HKG provide a more glamorous and modern experience, the price premium is not necessarily worth it for a frequent traveller. We usually take EVA and pocket the US$300-ish price difference per person. That's more than a grand saved for a typical family of four!

There was also a lot of confusion with my flight and the boarding zones. They called the first zone.. but never the ones after that and eventually people just queued up by themselves

Hagen Daz ice cream also was served in air china economy class JFK to Beijing. SQ should do better 🤣 18 hours + should have 3 proper meals i think.

You also have the option of taking the Original longest flight SQ21 from EWR. If you did the research on prices towards the region the lowest you can actually get on both is a EWR/JFK-MNL via SIN for $863.
